전형적 형태의 락과는 차원이 다른 정성어린 편곡, 남녀간의 화음, 그리고 천상의 멜로디 덕분에 리스너들은 ‘반향’으로 번역되는 EFTERKLANG이라는 팀명이 장르를 파괴하는 이 덴마크 트리오와 퍽 어울린다 생각할 것이다. 2000년 코펜하겐에서 결성된 EFTERKLANG은 전통적인 작곡과 일렉트로닉 음악적 질감을 혼합시키는 방식으로 클래식의 미학을 현대적인 감각과 꾸준히 혼합해왔다.
현재 EFTERKLANG은 The National, Twin Shadow, 그리고 This Mortal Coil과 함께 명문 레이블 4AD에 속해있다. 4AD를 통해 발매된 Piramida(2012)는 환경이 예술적 영감에 영향을 미친다는 개념에 대한 믿음을 바탕으로 만들어졌다. 그들은 이 앨범을 만들기 위해 9일 동안 노르웨이 스피츠버겐 제도의 외딴섬에 지내며 1000여 개의 오디오테이프를 수집했다. 초기 녹음견본들에서 포착된 분위기는 실험적이면서 동시에 희망적인 곡들 “Sedna”와 “Dreams Today”에서 들을 수 있다. “Dreams Today”는 Apple 사의 Macbook Pro 광고 배경음악으로 사용되며 많은 이들의 관심을 집중시켰다.
EFTERKLANG은 인스트루멘털 일렉트로닉의 실험정신을 기반으로 다채로운 변화를 꾀한 4개의 앨범들을 내놓았고 각각의 작업물은 평단의 찬사를 받았다 . 2013년 가을의 끝자락, 가느다란 숨소리조차 조심스러워질 이들의 믿을 수 없을 정도로 아름답고 고운 라이브 무대를, SUPERCOLORSUPER 가 특별한 소리의 신비로운 비밀과 함께 여러분께 조심스레 선사한다.

A world away from the typical rock format amidst with their thoughtful orchestrations, male and female choral harmonies, and ethereal melodies, the listen finds The name EFTERKLANG, , which translates to reverberation, is all too fitting for the genre defying Danish trio. Formed in Copenhagen in the year 2000, EFTERKLANG’s ethos dictates a continual push to meld classical aesthetics with modern flourishes; the band knits together traditional song writing with electronic textures.

Currently signed to the magnificent 4AD label, EFTERKLANG join such label mates as The National, Twin Shadow, and This Mortal Coil. Their 2012 release on 4AD , Piramida, was crafted upon the band’s conceptual belief that environment affects artistic inspiration. EFTERKLANG spent nine days on the isolated Norwegian island of Spitsbergen and collected over 1,000 audio recordings to make the album. The atmosphere that was captured in these initial audio swatches is present in the experimental, uplifting standouts “Sedna” and “Dreams Today.”
Through four critically-acclaimed albums–midst innumerable changes–Efterklang have managed to stay true to their roots of electronic-with-instrumental experimentation while remaining relevant. SUPER COLOR SUPER is thrilled to usher their Korean debut performance of Efterklang.
